Legal Benchmarks was created to bring clarity to an increasingly noisy legal AI market.

AI tools are entering the legal industry quickly, but reliable, independent benchmarks remain rare. This project grew out of conversations with legal teams that wanted to understand what actually works beyond marketing claims and polished vendor demos.

Today, Legal Benchmarks is a collaborative effort powered by lawyers, researchers, and builders who believe in open, practical evaluation. Our benchmarks are shaped by legal professionals, AI experts, and researchers who care about using AI responsibly in legal work and assessing it through real-world use cases.
